Solar Group Utilities is looking for an experienced Solar Engineer to support the ongoing operation, maintenance and performance of utility-scale solar in the Cambridge area.

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on keeping solar farms operating safely, efficiently and at their best. You’ll be working on sites typically 3MW and above, carrying out fault finding, technical investigations and supporting maintenance and system improvements.

Key responsibilities:

About you:

  • Relevant electrical or engineering qualification

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in utility-scale solar

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

  • Good understanding of solar PV systems and associated equipment

  • A safety-first mindset in all aspects of work

  • Flexible to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays

You’ll be someone who can step onto a site, understand what’s happening and take ownership of resolving issues without needing constant direction.
