Portfolio Executive
Are you experienced in administration, operations coordination, client support, scheduling, or project coordination? Are you looking to develop those skills within a growing renewable energy business?
Solar Group Utilities Ltd is looking for a proactive and organised Portfolio Executive to support the day-to-day operational and portfolio management activities of the business.
This role has been designed to work closely alongside the Senior Portfolio Manager, providing operational, administrative, and client support across the wider SGU team. The successful candidate will help coordinate engineers, support client communication, manage internal scheduling, and assist with operational reporting across utility-scale solar and BESS portfolios.
The position would particularly suit someone with experience in administration, operations coordination, client support, scheduling, or project coordination, or someone looking to develop those skills within a growing renewable energy business.

Key responsibilities:
Portfolio Support & Administration

Assist with day-to-day portfolio administration activities.

Support the preparation and distribution of client reports.

Maintain accurate records across SGU systems and client portals.

Track quotations, corrective works, maintenance actions, and operational updates.

Ensure operational and client documentation is organised and up to date.
Client Communication

Attend client meetings alongside the Senior Portfolio Manager.

Take meeting notes and manage follow-up actions.

Provide professional day-to-day communication with clients.

Support the management of client expectations and operational updates.
Operational Coordination

Liaise daily with field engineers and operational teams.

Assist with engineer scheduling and resource planning.

Support calendar management, including holidays, training, and site allocations.

Coordinate updates between engineering teams and management.
Team & Business Support

Assist with onboarding activities for new starters.

Help maintain training records, holidays, and internal documentation.

Support internal systems, reporting processes, and business administration.

Assist with organising meetings and operational reviews.
Reporting & Internal Communication

Provide regular updates to the Senior Portfolio Manager and Operations Manager.*

Support KPI tracking and operational reporting.

Assist with tracking maintenance activities, corrective works, and portfolio progress.

Deputy Responsibilities

Provide support cover for the Senior Portfolio Manager during periods of annual leave or absence where appropriate.

Help maintain continuity between clients, engineers, and management teams.

Escalate operational or client issues appropriately when required.

This role is designed as a development position within SGU’s growing Operations & Portfolio Management structure. The successful candidate will receive ongoing support and mentoring from the Senior Portfolio Manager, with opportunities to grow into more senior portfolio management, operational, or client-focused responsibilities as the business expands.
