Strengthening SGU’s utility-scale solar operations through a strategic partnership with Thanos Renewables


Today we can announce that Solar Group Utilities has acquired a significant strategic stake in Thanos Renewables, strengthening its position across utility-scale solar operations and expanding its capability in adjacent technologies.


The investment formalises an existing working relationship between the two businesses and reflects a shared focus on long-term asset performance, operational quality, and delivery at scale. The partnership will see Solar Group Utilities and Thanos Renewables working together across live and upcoming projects, with several clients already engaged under the new structure.


Thanos Renewables brings complementary expertise that enhances Solar Group Utilities’ operations and maintenance offering, particularly as projects increasingly integrate additional technologies alongside solar. By aligning more closely, the two businesses aim to provide asset owners with deeper technical capability, clearer accountability, and stronger operational outcomes across the full lifecycle of their assets.
